Promise

I look at the stars and
I swear I see you and
I know I can feel your
arms about me.
I listen to your voice
hear your words flow
into me.
Feel your breathe upon me
and I know you feel the
same.

I look in your eyes
and I see our future
close at hand, see the
life we can lead.
I know you feel this
wonderful feeling for I
can see it reflected in you
eyes.

You gaze into mine and
smile at me...and you leave
me absolutely breathless.
To the point I sink, sink into
your arms and I beg for
a promise, a promise of
which only two people can
share.

It came so suddenly,
that promise I so
desperately ached for
and I felt a release,
which had made me yours
and I am happy to finally
be in your arms...
with you!
